How to Save iPhone Text Messages
How can I save my iPhone text messages?
I need to save all of my text messages to a PC, and the saved file should be readable. Does anyone have a good way to rip them off my iPhone 4? Thanks in advance!
The first way coming into my mind is to make a screenshot of your text messages showing on your iPhone. If you have many SMS, just make more screenshots, if you don't mind. OK, no kidding now. To save text messages on iPhone 5/4S/4/3GS as a readable file, it's not as difficult as you think. This article will show you two easy solutions.
To use either of the solutions, first of all, you need an iPhone text message extractor installed on your computer. One is named Wondershare MobileGo for iOS, specially designed to manage everything on your iPhone, iPad and iPod. The other is Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS (Mac), or Wondershare Dr.Fone for iOS (for Windows users), professional and safe. Both softwares empower you to save your iPhone SMS to your computer.
Solution 1: Save iPhone text with MobileGo for iOS
Download MobileGo for iOS and install it on your Windows computer. Then, follow the easy tutorial.
Step1. Get your iPhone connected to the Windows computer
Launch MobileGo for iOS on the Windows PC. Then, connect your iPhone to the Windows PC by plugging into a USB cable. MobileGo for iOS will detect your iPhone at once. Then, you'll see your iPhone shows up in the primary window.
Step2. Save iPhone text messages
In the left directory tree, click "SMS" to bring up the SMS management window. All text messages, iMessages and SMS are displayed there. Tick off the box before the messages that you want to save.
On the top line, click "Export to". In its pull-down list, click "Export All Messages" or "Export Selected Messages". Then, you get another pull-down list, which gives you 3 choices: "to XML File", "to HTML File" and "to TXT File". Choose one and find a destination on your computer to save the messages.
