Part 1: Manage Your Local, Stored Media Content

DreamStream helps you easily manage all the digital media content stored on your computer. It automatically scans and sorts literally all the existing media files on your hard drive, including all types of file formats such as avi, mkv, mov, flv, m2ts, mp4, mp3, wma, and etc. Here's how it works:

1. After you install and launch Wondershare DreamStream, the program allows you to automatically scan the entire hard drive and have all the compatible media files indexed into the DreamStream library. Every time you have some new media files added onto your computer, just click the "Refresh" button, DreamStream will perform a quick scan and have the new content added to your media archive.

2. On the left side of the panel, you have media files categorized into Video and Music. You can easily locate your favorite movies or songs by navigating through the "Computer" directory, or by using the search bar on the top.

3. You can manually remove unwanted media files from your library or have them deleted completely. DreamStream also comes with build-in universal media player that allows you to instantly preview or play any media file while you browse through your collections.

Part 2: Streaming with Google Chromecast

Wondershare DreamStream is the world's very first integrated SDK application that allows Chromecast to stream and cast stored media content onto HD TV. Here is how it works:

1. Make sure your computer and Chromecast device are in the same local network, and plugged-in Chromecast is properly set up. Click here for more information on How to Set up Your Google Chromecast Device.

2. Now, select the media file you wish to cast on to TV, by clicking on the "Cast" button located at the right-bottom corner. You can also perform the streaming action by clicking on the same cast button while playing the file in the media player .

3. After established a successful streaming connection, you can control the volume and other playback options of the TV display directly from the media player panel.
