Transfer Music From iPhone/iPad/iPod to iTunes

Step 1. Launch TunesGo

Download, install and launch TunesGo on PC/Mac.

Step 2. Connect iPhone/iPad/iPod with PC/Mac

Using the USB cable, connect iPhone/iPad/iPod to PC/Mac. The connected device will be detected and a prompt will be shown as below.

Step 3. Choose DEVICE

Click DEVICE on the main page of TunesGo. Connected device will be shown. Now in order to transfer music from iPhone/iPad/iPod to iTunes, there are 2 ways as given below.

Method 1: Transfer some music selectively

Step 4. Find songs in iDevice

At the top-left corner, select Music icon that will show the list of music files stored in iDevice.

Step 5. Select and export the songs in iDevices to iTunes

a. From the given list of songs, check the ones that you wish to transfer to iTunes library. Now right-click the checked songs and click “Export to” option and then “Export to iTunes Library”.

b. Another way to transfer songs is by selecting the songs, then clicking on Export icon at the top-right corner and from drop down menu, select “Export to iTunes Library”.

The selected songs will be successfully exported.

Method 2: Transfer all music at one time

Step 4. Click "Transfer Music to iTunes" in DEVICE.

a. Click DEVICE on the main interface and from the given options on the right panel, click  “Transfer Music to iTunes”.

b. Click “Start” to go ahead with the process.

Step 5. Check Music option and then start to copy music to iTunes

All the files of the device will be scanned and will be visible under different categories like Music, Movies, Podcasts and others. By default, all types of files will be checked. In order to only transfer the music files, uncheck the other items and then click on “Copy to iTunes”. Files will be successfully transferred to iTunes. (Note: TunesGo only transfers the different files between your iDevice and iTunes )

Bonus Tips:

TunesGo supports to transfer Playlists, Movies, Podcasts, iTunes U, TV Shows, Music Videos, Audiobooks, Home Videos between iDevices and iTunes. Above given steps to transfer music from iDevice can also be used to copy these other types of media files to iTunes. To transfer files other than music, you can select option like "Playlists", “Movies”, “Podcasts” and others instead of “Music” type from the following step.
